Junior bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced and deadline driven Junior Bookkeeper to support busy finance team with bookkeeping and administrative duties.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Debtors

  • Generate pro-forma invoices, tax invoices, credit notes and customer statements
  • Check sub-contractor and employee expense claims and compile recharge invoices
  • Allocate deposits from customers
  • Maintain customer master files and customer database
  • Reconcile customer accounts
  • Constant communication with customers and outstanding debt collection

Creditors

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses, and controlling against company policies
  • Communicate with suppliers, sub-contractors and employees relating to invoices and expenses
  • Maintain supplier master files and supplier database
  • Sort, file and scan supplier documentation and keep electronic filing system

Administration

  • Support with administrative duties
  • Assist with travel arrangements – booking of accommodation and car rentals
  • Answer the telephone.

Desired Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • Recognised tertiary bookkeeping qualification is a minimum
  • At least 5 years proven hands-on working experience in a finance department in a corporate company in a bookkeeping role
  • Service industry experience is an advantage
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams and Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • Computer Literacy with working experience on accounting software like Sage.
  • Previous working experience in services industry in Certification and Inspection is an advantage i.e. Global GAP, BRC, FSSC, Siza.
  • Working understanding of VAT and accounting principles.

  • Clear ITC Record. Own transport.
